About The Foundation

Our Mission

The Robert Michael Wood Foundation seeks to improve the quality of life of children affected by pediatric stroke and help the families of those in the NICU.

About How It Started

Turning Challenges Into Hope

The Robert Michael Wood Foundation was born out of love and hope after Robbie, son of John and Tiffany Wood, suffered a pediatric stroke just a day after his birth on April 15, 2015.

Inspired by the incredible support from family and friends during Robbie’s month-long stay in the Rush Hospital NICU, we established this foundation to improve the quality of life for children affected by pediatric stroke and support families navigating the challenges of NICU stays.
